Clarion Partners has been recognized with the 2022 “Arne M. Sorenson Outstanding Contribution Award" by Marriott International, Inc. Clarion Partners is the first recipient of this newly named award in memory of Arne M. Sorenson, Marriott's former CEO and President, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2021. This award is presented for significant and outstanding contributions to Marriott's brands.
This award comes on the heels of winning Marriott's “Renovation Excellence Award" in 2021. Clarion Partners also won Marriott's “Partnership Circle Award" in 2012.
Chuck Lathem, Managing Director and Head of Clarion's Hospitality Investments Group, accepted the award at Marriott's Owners' Conference in Denver. In a statement, Lathem said, “We are proud to receive this high honor on behalf of Clarion Partners. Our team has successfully managed our hotel portfolio through this pandemic, and we are reaping the rewards of improving markets. This award has significant meaning to me personally as Arne was a great partner of the Firm and a great personal friend."
